Moving to Spain
Posted by: Sarah, 05-Sep 14:37
I need to get this clear in my head. Can I move to Spain without any kind of Visa required? I would have enough money left after selling my house to buy a small place in Spain, with some left over, until I figure out how to earn regular money. Do I need to apply anywhere, or can I just do it?
Thank you!

I think you can just do it. You might need to register at the local town hall (or whatever it's called) to make sure that everything is straight, but I don't think that needs to be done immedietly. Although if you are BUYING a propery, the local authorities may need to know about you.

We are thinking of moving to Spain as well, but not sure about what to do with schools for the children. We run an Internet based business, so that side of things is OK, but schools is an issue.
We can either place them at a local Spanish school, but I'm not sure how they cope with non-Spanish speaking kids. OR we can place them at an "International School" or "British School", but that would limit our areas more. It also costs a LOT more!
What have others done?
